Host your next party or event at our Centre

We encourage groups to come and enjoy our environment and facilities.  We are a community facility and pride ourselves on making our Centre accessible and welcoming to everyone.

When you host a party or event at Dickson Aquatic Centre, not only do you and your guests get to utilise all our facilities as part of the entry fee, you can self cater for your event.

Considerations for hosting a party or event at Dickson Aquatic Centre

To make your event as enjoyable as possible for you and your guests there are some things to think about before hosting an event at DAC:

  • Entry fees must be paid for all people entering the facility no matter whether they are swimming or not. This includes adults attending with a child. Check pricing here.
  • Unless you are asking your guests to pay their own entry, all entries must be pre-paid on the arrival of your group. No refunds available. 
  • For more than 10 entries paid for in one transaction, a 10% discount will apply.
  • We have two BBQ areas that are now available for pre-booking (for an additional $50 fee – see details below), however we are unable to reserve other spaces in our facility and we actively encourage all users to share our facilities as much as practical. Note that we have one BBQ area available for cooking only on a first come basis–there is no seating in this area.
  • We operate a Keep Watch Policy at our Centre and ask that you ensure that you have enough adult supervision to keep the attendees safe in accordance with their age and swimming ability.
  • Alcohol, smoking, glass and crockery is prohibited in our facility.
  • Note that we often have several parties running in our facility at the same time. Party hosts must  greet their guests at reception. We are not able to provide entry to any guests who have not been pre-paid.
  • Your group needs to ensure that the area is cleaned up and all guests have departed by our 7pm closing time.


Steps to arrange your event at DAC

1. Read and understand the considerations above. 
2. If you wish to book the exclusive use of one of two BBQ areas including a BBQ, shelter and two picnic tables (incurs a $50 fee), check availability and book below. 
3. Confirm a time. 
4. Invite your guests.
5. Fill out the form in the link below with the details of your guests and bring it with you on the day of your event.
6. Arrive a few minutes ahead of your guests so that you can provide the form to our reception and pay for the entries. 
7. Head on in and set up, ensuring that a responsible adult is available to greet your guests in our reception area when your party commences. 


Are you paying entry for your guests?

If you would like to pay the entry fees for your guests, you can download and fill out this form here. Bring it with you on the day and pre-pay for your guests. We ask that you meet you guests at the front of the Centre where possible, however we can assist you in welcoming any latecomers. There is a 10% discount for more than 10 entries paid in one transaction.

*Remember, all people coming to the pool are required to pay an entry fee. Including the parents and carers of your guests if they are entering the facility.


We now have two BBQ areas available for pre-booking.

There is a $50 fee to book the area that includes BBQs, shelter and picnic tables.

Bookings are made for a two hour period.

The area must be cleaned and vacated by the end of the booking time. 

BBQ bookings are available at the following times each day:

      • 9am-11am
      • 11.30am-1.30pm
      • 2pm-4pm
      • 4.30pm-6.30pm

Note that we have one other BBQ area available for cooking only on a first come basis–there is no seating in this area and this areas is not bookable.
